Description

Set in 40 acres of farm and 14 acres of woodland is this attractive cottage (six in total). Designed with family holidays in mind, guests are encouraged to enjoy the wonderful atmosphere of this farm with all it has to offer. Firstly, enjoy the farmland where you will find a large array of animals, including sheep, ducks, chickens, ponies, donkeys, goats and a pet cow called Molly. Next comes the countryside activities and included in the price are rowing boats, a football pitch, badminton, skittles, a putting green, and croquet. For the younger guests there are swings and slides, a giant sand pit which has been converted from an old horse box, scooters, trikes and a big ’bale’ play area. At an additional charge you can ride the Shetland ponies (10 years and under) or try your hand at quad biking (junior bikes only), there is also a heated indoor swimming pool that can be hired for exclusive use by guests. In the woods, there is a tree fort, tire swings and a fire pit, ideal for toasting marshmallows or for having an open fire BBQ. There is so much to see and do with all the Cotswolds to explore, Burford is just 9 miles and Oxford, 25 miles. If water activities appeal to you, then the Cotswold Water Park is within easy reach with sailing, windsurfing, jet skiing and even a lakeside beach. Fishing and golf available locally. The activities of the farm are available for guests between 10am and 6pm when the farm is open to the public. Shops, pubs and restaurants 0.5 miles.

Reviews

Brilliant for Children to enjoy the space to run energy off yet also enjoy a farm setting with animals and play facilities on site. A lovely location set in the countryside which is perfect for unwinding with lots of local country scenery to view. Lovely typical English Countryside usually only seen on postcards.

A fantastic place - especially for families with young children. The farm is fantastic and the owner is helpful and relaxed. No strict rules of where you are / are not allowed to go. A great place to chill with your family.

Our holiday cottages in Gloucestershire are ideally located for exploring the famous Cotswolds and Gloucestershire is also blessed with the Forest of Dean, one of our ancient woodlands. But there is much more to see in this county that is so rich in history.

The city of Gloucester, for example, is where William the Conqueror ordered the creation of the Domesday Book and the magnificent cathedral here has many connections with the Norman kings of England. With our Gloucestershire cottage holidays, you’re just a short drive away. Make sure Berkeley Castle is also on your itinerary. This 12th century castle has been owned by the Berkeley family since its foundation and is now a fine stately home, packed with art treasures, tapestries, silver, porcelain and furniture.

Then there’s elegant, genteel Cheltenham, with its grand terraces, much frequented by the lords and ladies of Georgian times and now home to some very smart shops. Or step back in time to Tewkesbury, where timbered buildings sit crowded on the banks of the rivers Avon and Severn. And don’t miss bohemian Stroud, where you’ll find a great selection of cafés and pubs.
